Technical Product Manager Permanent

Our client, a leader within the retail sector serving over 7 million customers and growing across several locations, are currently looking for a Technical Product Manager who will lead the backend transformation required.

The impact you’ll make:

Our client has currently has 4 apps available to customers across Europe, each with unique strengths. Following the recent merger, they’re working on a multi-year program to bring the best of each app into a single market leading app.

As a Technical Product Manager, you will lead the backend transformation required to make this possible.

Key Responsibilities:

• Given the interconnected nature of the teams, you will be working very closely with most of the other teams/domains in the company and as such, exceptional communication and collaboration skills are essential.
• Work cross functionally with the App Product Managers, Technology and Design teams to challenge your plans, identify constraints and ensure cross functional alignment.
• Work closely with the Transformation domain’s Engineering Manager to challenge and optimise your team’s ways of working.
• Communicate regularly across the company to help colleagues understand the customer value you are aiming to deliver, and proactively mitigate risks and dependencies to ensure successful delivery.

Must Have Experience:

• Experience managing a technical product that powered a digital customer experience.
• Proven ability to deliver for customer needs despite technical complexity.
• Ability to explain complicated technical principles in a clear and effective manner.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to gather and analyse data to inform product decisions.
• Proven track record of proactive communication and leadership to effectively manage cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Proven track record of optimising agile development methodologies to improve the effectiveness of digital project teams.

Nice to Have Experience:

• Experience of working in an e-commerce environment.
